Description

A delightful crispy spicy salmon dish infused with smoky paprika, garlic, and a touch of honey for a perfect balance of savory and sweet.

Ingredients

  • 800 g salmon filets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for marinating)
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp fish seasoning
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (for sauce)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Chopped chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the salmon with olive oil, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and fish seasoning.
  2. Heat a frying pan with olive oil and butter, then add the marinated salmon cubes in a single layer. Cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping often until crispy and golden. Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining salmon.
  3. In the same skillet, strain the oil and add minced garlic; sauté for one minute.
  4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice or vinegar, and hot sauce. Bring to a simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Serve the crispy salmon drizzled with the sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped chives.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider lightening the marinade with a bit of cornstarch. Adjust the level of spice with hot sauce to suit your preference.
