  • Salt – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams)
  • Black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams)
  • Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams)
  • Paprika – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams)
  • All-purpose flour – 1/2 cup (120 ml) (60 grams)
  • Eggs, beaten – 2 large
  • Breadcrumbs – 1 cup (240 ml) (120 grams)
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded – 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams)
  • Cream cheese, softened – 4 ounce (113 g) s (115 grams)
  • Parmesan cheese, grated – 1/2 cup (120 ml) (50 grams)
  • Heavy cream – 1/2 cup (120 ml) (120 milliliters)
  • Butter, unsalted – 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (28 grams)
  • Garlic, minced – 2 cloves
  • Parsley, chopped – 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (8 grams)
  • Pizza dough – 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to the pan.
  4. Cook shrimp for 3-4 minutes until pink and cooked through.
  5. Remove shrimp from heat and chop into small pieces.
  6. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and heavy cream until smooth.
  7. Melt butter in a separate pan over medium heat.
  8. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  9. Stir garlic into the cheese mixture.
  10. Add chopped shrimp and parsley to the cheese mixture and combine well.
  11. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness.
  12. Cut dough into small circles, about 3 inches in diameter.
  13. Place a spoonful of shrimp mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  14. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the mixture.
  15. Fold dough over filling and pinch edges to seal.
  16. In one bowl, place flour; in another, beaten eggs; in a third, breadcrumbs.
  17. Dip each popper in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, coating evenly.
  18. Heat remaining olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  19. Fry poppers in batches until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  20. Transfer poppers to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  21. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until heated through.
