Description

A delightful dish featuring crispy sushi rice cakes topped with creamy avocado and fresh salmon, perfect for sharing with friends.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 8 oz fresh salmon, thinly sliced or in a spicy mix
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. Once cooled, form rice into small cakes.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and pan-fry the rice cakes until crispy on both sides.
  4. In a bowl, smash the avocado and season with salt.
  5. Prepare salmon by slicing it thinly or using a spicy salmon mix.
  6. Top each rice cake with smashed avocado and a slice of salmon.
  7. Add a thin slice of jalapeño on top, drizzle with sriracha, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
