Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Oil for frying (if deep frying)
Instructions

- In a large bowl, mix the cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and lemon zest.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are well coated.
- If baking, arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and drizzle with melted butter. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. If frying, carefully add the wings to the hot oil and fry for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, mustard, and hot sauce to create the lemon pepper sauce.
- Once cooked, toss the wings in the lemon pepper sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Pat the chicken wings dry before coating them to ensure a crispy finish. Consider marinating the wings in hot sauce and mustard before cooking for extra flavor.
