Description

Delicious crispy taquitos filled with succulent crab, tender shrimp, and creamy cheese, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup queso dip (mild or spicy)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup butter or oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine finely chopped shrimp, shredded crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese, softened cream cheese, queso dip, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Mix until well combined. The mixture should be creamy and evenly distributed throughout.
  3. Place approximately two tablespoons of the mixture into each flour tortilla, spreading it along one edge.
  4. Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling, ensuring the end is sealed. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  5. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the taquitos seam side down, cooking until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Turn to cook all sides evenly, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Notes

Consider double-frying for extra crunch and serve with salsa or guacamole.
