Description
Delicious crispy taquitos filled with succulent crab, tender shrimp, and creamy cheese, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
- 1 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup queso dip (mild or spicy)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup butter or oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine finely chopped shrimp, shredded crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese, softened cream cheese, queso dip, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Mix until well combined. The mixture should be creamy and evenly distributed throughout.
- Place approximately two tablespoons of the mixture into each flour tortilla, spreading it along one edge.
- Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling, ensuring the end is sealed. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
- Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the taquitos seam side down, cooking until golden brown and crispy.
- Turn to cook all sides evenly, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Notes
Consider double-frying for extra crunch and serve with salsa or guacamole.
