Description

Delightful crispy taquitos filled with a creamy mixture of crab, shrimp, and cheese, perfect for gatherings or casual dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup queso dip (mild or spicy)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup butter or oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Combine the chopped shrimp, shredded crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese, softened cream cheese, queso dip, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a mixing bowl until well combined.
  2. Spread a heaping spoonful of the mixture onto a tortilla.
  3. Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling and place seam-side down on a plate. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  4. Heat the butter or oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully add the taquitos to the pan, seam-side down.
  5. Fry taquitos for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove cooked taquitos from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve with salsas or guacamole for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge, reheating in the oven for crispiness.
