Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, pour the buttermilk.
- In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- Dip each shrimp first in the flour mixture, then in the buttermilk, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the shrimp until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to create the Bang Bang sauce.
- Serve the crispy shrimp drizzled with the sauce and enjoy over a bed of noodles or with steamed vegetables.
Notes
Use fresh shrimp for best flavor. For extra crunch, double-dip shrimp in buttermilk and breadcrumbs. Let shrimp rest after frying to firm up the coating.
