Description

A crowd-pleasing seafood dish featuring crispy fried shrimp coated in a zesty Bang Bang sauce, perfect for gatherings or weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In another bowl, pour the buttermilk.
  3. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Dip each shrimp first in the flour mixture, then in the buttermilk, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry the shrimp until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to create the Bang Bang sauce.
  8. Serve the crispy shrimp drizzled with the sauce and enjoy over a bed of noodles or with steamed vegetables.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for best flavor. For extra crunch, double-dip shrimp in buttermilk and breadcrumbs. Let shrimp rest after frying to firm up the coating.
