A luxurious and creamy shrimp pasta dish featuring tender shrimp and fettuccine in a rich Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, bring it to a simmer, and then stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the cooked fettuccine in the Alfredo sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
For a touch of heat, consider adding red pepper flakes. Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melting.
