Description

Experience the vibrant flavors of Jamaican cuisine with this Creamy Jamaican Shrimp Rasta Pasta, featuring bold jerk seasoning, creamy sauce, and colorful bell peppers.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp jerk seasoning
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (red, yellow, and green)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sliced bell peppers, and sauté until the peppers are tender.
  4. Sprinkle the shrimp with jerk seasoning and add to the skillet, cooking until pink and opaque.
  5. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine and allowing the mixture to simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, making sure each strand is coated with the creamy sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For enhanced creaminess, consider adding grated cheese. Customize the jerk seasoning to your heat tolerance.
