  • 1 pound (454 g) medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped or minced
  • ½ cup (120 ml) chicken stock/broth
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup (25 g) shredded Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Warm the unsalted butter in a frying pan on high heat.
  2. Once it begins to bubble, introduce the shrimp and cook until they start to lose their translucency and turn white. Add the minced garlic and stir for 20 seconds, at which point the shrimp should be white but still slightly raw inside.
  3. Pour in the chicken stock, allowing it to rapidly steam and bubble. Cook for about 30 seconds until the scent dissipates and the liquid reduces by half.
  4. Incorporate the heavy cream and shredded Parmesan cheese, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it gently cook for 1 minute until it slightly thickens.
