Description

A comforting dish of creamy garlic shrimp served over buttery mashed potatoes, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh or frozen shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 lbs potatoes (russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.
  2. Drain and mash the potatoes with butter, adding salt and pepper.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the shrimp and season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until pink and opaque.
  5. Remove shrimp and set aside. Add fresh garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Incorporate heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cooking until slightly thickened.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet, coating them in the sauce.
  8. Serve the shrimp over mashed potatoes and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in garlic, paprika, and a dash of salt for 30 minutes before cooking.
