Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) salmon fillets (450 grams)
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s olive oil (30 milliliters)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) unsalted butter (14 grams)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream (240 milliliters)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) grated Parmesan cheese (50 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon juice (15 milliliters)
- 8 ounce (227 g) s fettuccine pasta (225 grams)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh parsley (15 grams)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin side down.
- Cook the salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Remove salmon from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the lemon juice to the sauce and stir to combine.
- Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Return the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the sauce.
- Toss the pasta to coat evenly in the creamy sauce.
- Flake the salmon into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet.
- Gently mix the salmon into the pasta and sauce.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
