Description

A quick and comforting one-pan meal featuring shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce, served over warm rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or cauliflower)
  • Fresh parsley or green onion, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, and paprika in a bowl, tossing to coat evenly.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat, add the remaining butter, and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese, simmer for about 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  6. Serve over warm rice, garnished with fresh parsley or green onion.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for best flavor and adjust seasonings to your taste. For a vegan option, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and parmesan with nutritional yeast.
