Description

A comforting and rich seafood bisque featuring fresh crab and shrimp in a luscious creamy broth.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Melt the butter over medium heat in a large pot.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and translucent.
  3. Pour in the seafood stock and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the crab meat and shrimp, cooking until the shrimp turn pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat and add the heavy cream, mixing well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Use an immersion blender to blend until smooth, or leave it chunky according to your preference.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
