Description

A comforting and rich seafood bisque featuring crab and shrimp, perfect for evoking coastal dining memories.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  2. Stir in the seafood stock and bring to a simmer.
  3. Add the crab meat and shrimp, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  4. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Old Bay seasoning. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, but do not let it boil.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and ladle into bowls. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a brighter flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or zest. Use fresh seafood for the best taste.
