Description

A quick and delightful creamy bacon and pea carbonara that combines rich flavors and textures, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 100g bacon, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the diced bacon. Cook until crispy.
  3. Add minced garlic and frozen peas to the skillet, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with bacon and peas, removing from heat.
  6. Quickly pour the egg and cheese mixture over the pasta, stirring to create a creamy sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.

Notes

Reserve a bit of pasta water to loosen the sauce if it becomes too thick. Use freshly grated Parmesan for a more robust flavor.
