Description

A rich and luscious crawfish cream sauce that encapsulates coastal culinary traditions with its creamy texture and bold flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Shallots (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic (minced)
  • 1 lb Crawfish tail
  • 2 cups Whipping heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup Green onion (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the minced shallots and garlic for about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the crawfish tails and sprinkle in the Creole seasoning.
  4. Sauté for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Incorporate the heavy cream, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce into the pan.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  7. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens and reduces by half, approximately 5 minutes.
  8. Add the unsalted butter and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Gently fold in the chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For an even smoother sauce, use an immersion blender before adding butter and green onions.
