A flavorful seafood dish featuring bell peppers stuffed with a rich mixture of crab, shrimp, and cheeses, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 4 large bell peppers (any color)
- 1 cup cooked crab meat, flaked
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the bell peppers by slicing the tops off and removing seeds and membranes. Place them upright in a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, shrimp, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, green onions, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Season with salt and pepper.
- Mix the filling until well combined and evenly distributed.
- Stuff each bell pepper generously with the seafood mixture, pressing down gently to pack it tightly.
- Drizzle olive oil over the stuffed peppers.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating lemon juice, and experimenting with different herbs and spices. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
