Description

Sizzling garlic and sweet seafood come together in these crab and shrimp stuffed bell peppers, creating a comforting and indulgent dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat, flaked
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the bell peppers by cutting off the tops and removing the seeds and membranes. Lightly coat them with olive oil.
  3. Combine the crab meat, chopped shrimp, softened cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped green onions, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  4. Stuff the prepared bell peppers with the filling, pressing it down gently to pack it in.
  5. Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, allowing the tops to brown slightly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, you can roast the peppers for a few minutes before stuffing them. Consider using different seafood or adding vegetables to the filling for variety.
