Description
A creamy, rich bisque that combines crab and shrimp, bringing a taste of the coast to your kitchen.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- ⅓ cup of chopped celery
- ⅓ cup of chopped green onions
- 1½ cups of heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 8 ounces of cooked shrimp cut into pieces
- 8 ounces of crab meat
- 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped celery and green onions and sauté until they begin to soften.
- Stir in the flour and sauté for another minute.
- Pour in the warmed milk and whisk until no lumps remain.
- Introduce the heavy whipping cream along with the tomato paste, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a low simmer to thicken into a bisque.
- Gently stir in the cooked shrimp and crab meat, letting them heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
