Description

A creamy and rich crab and shrimp seafood bisque that’s a heartwarming dish filled with ocean-fresh flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots, chopped
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, celery, and carrots. Sauté until softened.
  2. Add white wine and cook for a few minutes until reduced.
  3. Pour in seafood stock and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in crab meat and shrimp, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Allow to heat through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Adjust seasonings to taste. Let the bisque sit for a few minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
