Description
A creamy and rich crab and shrimp seafood bisque that’s a heartwarming dish filled with ocean-fresh flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 lb crab meat
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots, chopped
- 4 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, celery, and carrots. Sauté until softened.
- Add white wine and cook for a few minutes until reduced.
- Pour in seafood stock and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in crab meat and shrimp, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Allow to heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Adjust seasonings to taste. Let the bisque sit for a few minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
