Description

A rich and creamy crab and shrimp seafood bisque that transforms a typical dinner into a coastal feast.


Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. Butter
  • C. Celery, chopped
  • C. Green onions, chopped
  • 1 ½ C. Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 C. Whole milk
  • 3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Tomato paste
  • 8 oz. Cooked shrimp, cut into pieces
  • 8 oz. Crab meat
  • 1 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add celery and green onions, sautéing until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the flour, cooking for another minute.
  4. Warm the milk in the microwave, then whisk it into the saucepan until smooth.
  5. Add the heavy whipping cream, tomato paste, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
  6. Bring the mixture to a low simmer, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  7. Gently fold in shrimp and crab meat, cooking until heated through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Adjust Old Bay seasoning to taste and consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat.
