Description

A refreshing crab salad that combines imitation crab meat with fresh vegetables and zesty seasonings, perfect for picnics and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound imitation crab meat (flaked style or sticks sliced)
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped, plus more for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add the flaked imitation crab meat, finely chopped celery, and red onion.
  2. Sprinkle in the Old Bay seasoning and drizzle the lemon juice.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add the mayonnaise and the chopped fresh dill.
  5. Stir gently until all ingredients are evenly combined, keeping the mixture light and fluffy.
  6. Taste and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Serve immediately or cover and chill in the refrigerator for up to two days.
  8. Garnish with additional fresh dill just before serving.

Notes

Chill the salad for an hour before serving to enhance the flavors. Serve in a chilled bowl and consider using leafy greens or avocado halves for presentation.
