Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers (12)
  • 340g cream cheese, softened (12 oz)
  • 60ml sour cream (1/4 cup)
  • 113g substitute lump crab, drained (4 oz)
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly coat a muffin tin with non-stick spray.
  3. Insert a wonton wrapper into each muffin slot and bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
  4. Take them out of the oven and let them cool a bit.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, one sliced green onion, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce until well combined.
  6. Using a small food processor, finely chop the crab meat. Mix the chopped crab into the cream cheese blend.
  7. Fill the baked wonton cups with the crab mixture and bake for another 8 to 12 minutes.
  8. Garnish with the remaining sliced green onions. Pair with sweet and sour or sweet chili sauce if you like.

Notes

  • – Ensure the lump crab meat is well drained to prevent excess moisture in the filling.
  • – For a smoother filling, blend the cream cheese mixture in a food processor before adding the crab.
  • – Try using different garnishes like sesame seeds or chopped cilantro to enhance flavor and presentation.
