Ingredients

  • Cream cheese, 8 oz (225 g)
  • Imitation crab meat, 8 oz (225 g)
  • Green onions, 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce, 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon (5 g)
  • Wonton wrappers, 24 pieces
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Sweet chili sauce, 1/2 cup (120 ml)
  • Chopped fresh cilantro, 2 tablespoon s (8 g)
  • Lime juice, 1 tablespoon (15 ml)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, imitation crab meat, green onions, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix the ingredients until well combined and smooth.
  4. Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface.
  5. Place a spoonful of the crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  6. Lightly moisten the edges of the wonton wrappers with water.
  7. Fold the wonton wrappers diagonally over the filling to form a triangle.
  8. Press the edges firmly to seal and remove any air pockets.
  9. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  10. Fry the wonton bites in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  11. Remove and drain the wonton bites on paper towels.
  12. In a small bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, chopped cilantro, and lime juice.
