Description

Indulge in a creamy and decadent Crab Fettuccine Alfredo recipe! Learn how to make this luxurious pasta dish at home with our step-by-step guide.

Ingredients

  • 454 g fettuccini pasta
  • 60 ml vegetable oil
  • 30 g all-purpose flour
  • 480 ml milk
  • 113 g cream cheese
  • 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 15 ml fresh parsley, chopped
  • 5 ml garlic powder
  • 5 ml onion powder
  • 5 ml salt
  • 5 ml black or white pepper
  • 454 g lump crabmeat

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fettuccini by boiling it as directed on the package until it reaches a firm yet tender texture.
  2. In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Incorporate the flour and mix thoroughly. Allow the flour and oil mixture to cook for 30-60 seconds, then gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously between each addition.
  3. Slice the cream cheese into small pieces and add them to the sauce, stirring until they are fully melted and blended in.
  4. Mix in the grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, whisking until the sauce is smooth.
  5. Carefully fold in the crabmeat, letting the sauce simmer on low until the crab is heated through.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, or serve the fettuccini with the sauce draped over the top.

Notes

  • Use whole milk or half and half for a creamier sauce.
  • Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or garlic powder to taste.
  • Add lemon juice or red pepper flakes for a zesty flavor kick.
