Ingredients

  • Everything bagels, 4
  • Cream cheese, 8 oz (225 g)
  • Cooked crab meat, 8 oz (225 g)
  • Ripe avocados, 2
  • Lemon juice, 2 tablespoon s (30 ml)
  • Chopped fresh chives, 2 tablespoon s (8 g)
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon (5 g)
  • Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g)
  • Everything bagel seasoning, 2 tablespoon s (16 g)
  • Egg, 1
  • Water, 1 tablespoon (15 ml)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the everything bagels in half horizontally.
  3. Scoop out some of the bread from the center of each bagel half to create a cavity.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cooked crab meat, and chopped fresh chives.
  5. Mash the ripe avocados in a separate bowl with lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Mix the avocado mixture into the cream cheese and crab mixture until well combined.
  7. Spoon the crab and avocado filling into each bagel cavity, slightly mounding the filling.
  8. Press the two halves of each bagel together to enclose the filling.
  9. Whisk the egg with water in a small bowl to make an egg wash.
  10. Brush the tops of the stuffed bagels with the egg wash.
  11. Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning over the tops evenly.
  12. Place the stuffed bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  13. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and heated through.
