Ingredients
- 1 pound (450 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cups (950 ml) beef broth
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chili oil
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch (2.5 cm) piece ginger, grated
- 2 packs ramen noodles
- 1 cup (150 g) bean sprouts
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 cup (150 g) sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup (150 g) baby spinach
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the sesame oil.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot, sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they begin to soften, about 3 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the soy sauce and chili oil, mixing well.
- Season the broth with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the prawns to the broth and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the prawns from the pot and set aside.
- Add the ramen noodles to the broth and cook according to package instructions.
- In the last minute of cooking, add the bean sprouts and baby spinach to the pot.
- Once the noodles are cooked, return the prawns to the pot.
- Stir in the sliced green onions.
- Serve hot in bowls, dividing the prawns and vegetables evenly.
