A sizzling platter of shrimp seasoned with chili and lime, paired with vibrant mango and avocado salsa.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. raw shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ⅛ tsp cayenne (optional)
- Green cabbage, shredded
- White rice, cooked
- Limes, for serving
- Tortilla chips (optional)
- 2 mangos, diced
- 1 avocado, diced
- ¼ cup red onion, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, deseeded & chopped
- 2 Tbsp cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the seasoned shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.
- Prepare the mango-avocado salsa by mixing the mangos, avocado, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice in a bowl.
- To serve, place cooked rice and shredded cabbage on a plate, top with chili lime shrimp, and add a generous scoop of mango-avocado salsa. Serve with lime wedges and tortilla chips if desired.
Notes
Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor. Adjust cayenne for spice level preference. Serve immediately for optimal taste.
