Ingredients
- 450 g prawns, peeled and deveined (1 lb)
- 225 g udon noodles (8 oz)
- 30 ml vegetable oil (2 tbsp)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 150 g sugar snap peas (1 cup)
- 30 ml soy sauce (2 tbsp)
- 15 ml chili paste (1 tbsp)
- 15 ml honey (1 tbsp)
- 15 ml sesame oil (1 tbsp)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 15 ml sesame seeds (1 tbsp)
Instructions
- Cook udon noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add prawns to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove prawns from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sliced red bell pepper and sugar snap peas to the pan, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, chili paste, honey, and sesame oil.
- Return the prawns to the pan and add the cooked udon noodles.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the prawns and noodles, stirring well to coat everything evenly.
- Continue stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately.

- Marinate prawns in soy sauce and ginger for enhanced flavor.
- Ensure prawns are not overcooked to prevent toughness.
- Add carrots or broccoli for extra nutrition and color; adjust chili paste to taste.
