Description

Discover how to make the perfect Chili Crisp Shrimp with this easy recipe. Learn the secrets to creating a flavorful and spicy dish that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

  • 450g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 45ml chili crispor more to taste
  • 15ml soy sauce
  • 5ml sriracha or use chili-garlic sauce or your favorite hot sauce
  • 5ml honey
  • 5ml fresh ginger, grated
  • 30ml vegetable oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • Garnish: Chopped green onion or fresh cilantro, chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Place the shrimp in a large mixing bowl and incorporate 1 tablespoon of chili crisp, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and grated ginger. Stir thoroughly and let sit for 15 minutes to marinate.
  2. Warm the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until it releases its aroma.
  3. Introduce the shrimp to the pan, arranging them in a single layer, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they change to a pink hue and are fully cooked.
  4. Take the pan off the heat and mix in the remaining chili crisp, ensuring the shrimp are well-coated.
  5. Move to a serving plate and add garnish. This dish pairs wonderfully with cooked rice or noodles, but is also delightful on its own.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of spiciness by adding more chili crisp or sriracha to the marinade to suit your taste.
  • Cook the shrimp carefully to avoid toughness – they cook quickly and should not be left on the heat for too long.
  • Enhance the dish with garnishes like chopped green onion, fresh cilantro, or chili flakes for added flavor and visual appeal.
