Description

A festive Chicken Wing Boil featuring tender chicken wings with corn, sausage, and potatoes, creating a flavor explosion for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup crab/seafood boil seasoning
  • 1/3 cup lemon pepper seasoning
  • 3 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 6 corn on the cob
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1 lb red potatoes
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 5-6 dashes of hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot halfway with water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil.
  3. Once it starts boiling, add the 1/2 stick of butter, crab/seafood boil seasoning, and lemon pepper seasoning.
  4. Cut the sausage into small pieces.
  5. Add the corn, sausage, and potatoes to the boiling water.
  6. Cook for 18-20 minutes or until the potatoes become soft.
  7. Cut the whole chicken wings into flats and drumsticks.
  8. Season the wings in a bowl with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Cajun seasoning. Mix carefully to ensure each wing is well-coated.
  9. Add corn starch to the wings, coating each wing thoroughly.
  10. Heat the vegetable oil in a separate pot to 350 degrees.
  11. Fry the wings in batches, placing 7-8 wings at a time in the hot oil.
  12. Cook for 5-7 minutes until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  13. Once cooked, transfer the wings to a baking rack to drain excess oil.
  14. After the corn, sausage, and potatoes finish cooking, remove them from the water and place them on a sheet pan.
  15. Add the fried chicken wings to the sheet pan.
  16. In another pot, melt the 2 sticks of butter, then add minced garlic, paprika, crab/seafood boil seasoning, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and hot sauce. Stir until the butter melds with the spices.
  17. Pour the sauce over the chicken wings, sausage, corn, and potatoes.
  18. ENJOY this incredible Chicken Wing Boil!

Notes

For extra crunch, allow the wings to rest after frying. Adjust spice levels according to personal taste.
