Ingredients
- 1 French baguette
- 4 tablespoon (60 ml) s unsalted butter (57 grams)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound (454 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 grams)
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika
- 1 cup (240 ml) shredded mozzarella cheese (100 grams)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) shredded cheddar cheese (50 grams)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise (60 milliliters)
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s chopped fresh parsley (8 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (15 milliliters)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the French baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Cook the shrimp for 3-4 minutes until pink and cooked through.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and chop into small pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, parsley, and lemon juice.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined.
- Spread the shrimp mixture evenly over each baguette slice.
- Bake the toasts in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Serve the cheesy shrimp toasts warm.
