Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 g)
- 1 cup lump crab meat (120 g)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened (225 g)
- 1 cup shredded moz zarella cheese (115 g)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (50 g)
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 package puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Chop the shrimp into small pieces and place in a bowl.
- Add the lump crab meat to the shrimp.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese and mozzarella cheese.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese.
- Add the green onions and minced garlic to the cheese mixture.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Mix in the lemon juice and fresh parsley until well combined.
- Add the shrimp and crab mixture to the cheese mixture.
- Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Cut the puff pastry into 3-inch (7.5 cm) squares.
- Place a spoonful of the seafood mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a ball.
- Pinch the edges to seal the pastry completely.
- Place the formed balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush each pastry ball with the beaten egg wash.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
