Description

Delicious and easy-to-make canned salmon patties, perfect for a quick meal any time of the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 can salmon (14.75 oz can, drained and cleaned)
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup celery (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 4 tablespoons butter (for frying)
  • Lemon (for garnish)
  • Fresh dill (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Drain the can of salmon thoroughly. If you seek a smoother consistency, remove the skin and bones.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the drained salmon, bread crumbs, chopped green onions, celery, mayonnaise, and the beaten egg.
  3. Stir the mixture until everything is well combined.
  4. Divide the mixture into four equal parts, shaping each into a patty. Set aside as you prepare to fry.
  5. In a large sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the patties in the pan.
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and heated through.
  7. Plate the patties and garnish with fresh dill and a splash of lemon juice.

Notes

Chilling the mixture for 20-30 minutes before shaping can help the patties hold together effectively. Customize with various herbs or spices to enhance flavor.
