A flavorful seafood dish featuring Cajun shrimp and salmon in a creamy garlic sauce, served over fluffy mashed potatoes with steamed green beans.
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 cups green beans, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Season the salmon and shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return salmon and shrimp to the skillet, coating them in the sauce.
- Meanwhile, prepare the mashed potatoes and green beans.
- For the green beans, steam or blanch until tender, then toss with butter, salt, and pepper.
- Serve the Cajun shrimp and salmon over mashed potatoes, drizzled with garlic sauce, alongside green beans.
