Description

A flavorful seafood dish featuring Cajun shrimp and salmon in a creamy garlic sauce, served over fluffy mashed potatoes with steamed green beans.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon and shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return salmon and shrimp to the skillet, coating them in the sauce.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the mashed potatoes and green beans.
  9. For the green beans, steam or blanch until tender, then toss with butter, salt, and pepper.
  10. Serve the Cajun shrimp and salmon over mashed potatoes, drizzled with garlic sauce, alongside green beans.

Notes

Monitor the cooking time closely and adjust the seasoning as needed.
