Description

A vibrant dish combining shrimp and penne pasta in a creamy Cajun sauce, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and mix until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Toss the cooked penne pasta into the skillet, mixing well to coat.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

For added flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and consider squeezing fresh lemon juice right before serving.
