Ingredients
- 4 fillets Salmon (skin on)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (can substitute with canola or vegetable oil)
- 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning (adjust for your preferred heat level)
- Salt, to taste (use sparingly if Cajun seasoning is salty)
- 4 tablespoons Butter (unsalted recommended)
- 2 tablespoons Honey (maple syrup is an alternative)
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce (use tamari for gluten-free option)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced; garlic powder can be used as substitute)
- Juice of ½ Lemon
- Fresh Parsley (chopped)

- Black Sesame Seeds (optional, for visual appeal)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Cajun seasoning and a pinch of salt to the oil.
- Season both sides of the salmon fillets with the Cajun seasoning mixture.
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
- Flip the fillets and reduce heat to medium.
- Add the butter, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to the skillet, letting it melt and combine.
- Baste the salmon fillets with the honey butter mixture for about 2 more minutes, or until cooked through.
- Squeeze half a lemon over the salmon just before serving for a burst of freshness.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and sprinkle with black sesame seeds for extra flair.
Notes
Ensure your skillet is hot before adding the salmon to achieve the desired crust. Let the salmon rest for a minute after cooking.
