Description

A delightful salmon recipe featuring Cajun seasoning and sweet brown sugar, bringing together warmth and flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2-4 salmon fillets, skinless, about 6-8 ounces each
  • 4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun/Creole seasoning
  • Kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  2. Mix the brown sugar and Cajun seasoning in a small bowl.
  3. Lightly salt both sides of the salmon fillets.
  4. Place a heaping tablespoon of the brown sugar mixture on top of each piece of salmon.
  5. Gently rub the mixture all over both sides of the salmon until evenly coated.
  6. Place the seasoned salmon on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the middle of the oven for 12 minutes.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 3 minutes.

Notes

Coat each fillet generously for an explosion of flavor. Resting the salmon after cooking ensures it remains moist and tender.
