A vibrant and crunchy cabbage slaw that perfectly complements fish tacos, adding texture and a burst of flavor.

Ingredients

  • ½ pound shredded purple cabbage
  • ½ pound shredded green cabbage
  • ¼ cup roughly chopped fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Toss gently until the cabbage is well coated and colorful.
  3. Use immediately on tacos for the best texture and flavor.
  4. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days.

Notes

For an authentic flavor, use freshly squeezed lime juice and consider adding a dash of hot sauce for extra heat.
