- Cheddar cheese, shredded – 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams)
- Garlic, minced – 2 cloves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, ranch seasoning mix, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the thinly sliced potatoes to the cream mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Grease a baking dish with butter, ensuring the sides and bottom are covered.
- Layer the coated potatoes evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Pour any remaining cream mixture over the top of the potatoes.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- While the potatoes are baking, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the buffalo sauce, coating the shrimp evenly.
- Remove the foil from the baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes.
- Return the dish to the oven and bake, uncovered, for an additional 15 minutes.
- Combine the sliced celery and chopped green onions in a small bowl.
- Once the gratin is golden and bubbly, remove it from the oven.
- Top the gratin with the buffalo shrimp and celery-onion mixture.
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
