Description

A rich, buttery garlic sauce perfect for complementing crab and other seafood dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2 heads Garlic (finely minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Paprika
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Louisiana Hot Sauce
  • ½ cup Fresh Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Begin by placing your pot over a medium-low flame. Add the unsalted butter, allowing it to melt gradually.
  2. Once melted, reduce the flame to its lowest setting. Combine the minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, Cajun seasoning, sugar, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and lemon pepper into the liquid butter.
  3. Stir the mixture gently but continuously for about 30 seconds to release the spices’ aromas.
  4. Slowly pour in the Louisiana hot sauce and the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  5. Increase the flame slightly to bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and allow it to cook for about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool, allowing the flavors to settle and intensify.
  7. Stir well before serving and adjust seasonings to taste.

Notes

Make the sauce ahead of time to deepen flavors. Reheat gently before serving.
