Description

These blackened shrimp tacos with zesty slaw create a flavorful and refreshing meal perfect for seafood enthusiasts.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning until well coated.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until blackened and cooked through.
  3. In another bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrots, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper to make the slaw. Mix well.
  4. Warm the tortillas in another pan.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing shrimp on tortillas and top with slaw. Serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the shrimp in Cajun seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking. Pair with lime wedges and additional toppings like diced avocado or fresh cilantro.
