A delightful blend of shrimp coated in Cajun seasoning, creamy sauce, and pasta, perfect for family gatherings and weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or your choice)
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink, approximately 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet, cooking until soft.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat and mix in sour cream until creamy.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet, mixing gently until evenly coated in the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
