Description

A delightful blend of shrimp coated in Cajun seasoning, creamy sauce, and pasta, perfect for family gatherings and weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or your choice)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink, approximately 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet, cooking until soft.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Reduce heat and mix in sour cream until creamy.
  8. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet, mixing gently until evenly coated in the sauce.
  9. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to your liking for a milder or spicier dish.
