Description

Crispy, flavorful blackened salmon tacos with zesty slaw and creamy avocado, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 Salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp Taco seasoning
  • 4 Corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup Cabbage (shredded, for slaw)
  • 1/2 cup Carrots (shredded, for slaw)
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro (chopped, for slaw)
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice (for slaw)
  • 1 Avocado (mashed)
  • 1/4 cup Pickled onions
  • 2 tbsp Chipotle sauce
  • 2 tbsp Cream
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon fillets with taco seasoning.
  2. Cook the salmon in a skillet over medium-high heat until blackened and cooked through.
  3. In a bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrots, cilantro, and lime juice to make the citrus-infused slaw.
  4. Mash the avocado and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Assemble tacos by placing blackened salmon in the tortillas, topping with slaw, mashed avocado, pickled onions, and drizzling with chipotle sauce.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

Allow the salmon to rest for a couple of minutes after cooking to keep it moist. Experiment with additional toppings like fresh jalapeños or crumbled queso.
