Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and mix the spices in a small bowl.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
- Rub the spice mixture generously on both sides of the salmon.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add olive oil to the skillet.
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until a blackened crust forms.
- Let rest for a couple of minutes before serving to lock in juices.
