Description
Deliciously marinated grilled shrimp infused with garlic, lemon, and spices, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper until smooth to create the marinade.
- Place the shrimp in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes but no longer than 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- If desired, thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers.
- Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and charred, ensuring they are opaque and firm.
- Remove from the grill, plate on a serving platter, and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
Experiment with the marinade for unique flavor profiles and consider marinating overnight for a deeper taste. Ensure shrimp do not marinate too long due to acidic lemon juice.
