Description

Deliciously marinated grilled shrimp infused with garlic, lemon, and spices, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper until smooth to create the marinade.
  2. Place the shrimp in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes but no longer than 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  4. If desired, thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers.
  5. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and charred, ensuring they are opaque and firm.
  6. Remove from the grill, plate on a serving platter, and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

Experiment with the marinade for unique flavor profiles and consider marinating overnight for a deeper taste. Ensure shrimp do not marinate too long due to acidic lemon juice.
