Description

Delicious marinated grilled shrimp that’s perfect for summer gatherings and versatile for various occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on or off)
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Make the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Marinate the shrimp: Place the shrimp in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the shrimp, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (but no longer than 1 hour).
  3. Preheat the grill: Heat grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill the shrimp: If desired, thread shrimp onto skewers. Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink, opaque, and slightly charred.
  5. Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Skewering shrimp can make flipping easier and presents beautifully.
