Description
Crispy shrimp coated in panko and topped with a spicy Bang Bang sauce, served in soft taco shells with fresh toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Taco shells or tortillas
- Lettuce, shredded
- Tomato, diced
- Green onions, sliced
- Bang Bang sauce (made with mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha)
Instructions
- Dip each shrimp in cornstarch to ensure a light coat.
- Immerse the shrimp in the beaten egg, letting excess egg drip off.
- Coat the shrimp in panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat until it sizzles.
- Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain the cooked shrimp on paper towels.
- Assemble tacos with crispy shrimp, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced green onions.
- Drizzle Bang Bang sauce over the tacos and serve immediately.
