Description

Crispy shrimp coated in panko and topped with a spicy Bang Bang sauce, served in soft taco shells with fresh toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Taco shells or tortillas
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • Tomato, diced
  • Green onions, sliced
  • Bang Bang sauce (made with mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha)

Instructions

  1. Dip each shrimp in cornstarch to ensure a light coat.
  2. Immerse the shrimp in the beaten egg, letting excess egg drip off.
  3. Coat the shrimp in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat until it sizzles.
  5. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Drain the cooked shrimp on paper towels.
  7. Assemble tacos with crispy shrimp, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced green onions.
  8. Drizzle Bang Bang sauce over the tacos and serve immediately.

Notes

Work in small batches to fry the shrimp evenly and ensure crispiness.
