Description

Crispy shrimp coated with a sweet and spicy sauce, perfect for elevating any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • Green onions, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  4. Dredge shrimp in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown.
  5. In another bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.
  6. Toss fried shrimp in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve garnished with green onions.

Notes

For the crispiest shrimp, use fresh shrimp and do not skip the buttermilk marinade.
